Here is a short list of my suggestions:
-
- WATCHING OF DOLPHINS – You can go on an organized daily dolphin watching tour with the starting point being the resort of Lovina, located on the Northern coast of Bali.
- GARUDA WISNU KENCANA. Garuda Wisnu Kencana is one of the most famous destinations in Bali and the locals are very proud of it. The huge project is not yet completed, but it is already an exceptional cultural park that has plenty of facilities. In the park you can see live performances and events revealing traditional Balinese culture against the backdrop of beautiful nature.
- KOPI LUWAK – Visit the factory where Kopi Luwak, the world’s most expensive coffee, is produced. The so-called Kopi Luwak coffee (or Kopi Luwak—in English, Kopi Luwak) is made from ordinary coffee beans that, however, undergo a special “processing”—they are eaten and excreted by a specific type of animal. These animals belong to the civet family, primarily the Asian palm civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus), and the special processing of the beans takes place in the mammal’s digestive tract.
THE MONKEY FOREST in Ubud. Nature reserve and temple complex – the Ubud Monkey Forest (Ubud Monkey Forest, Bali) is the living embodiment of three Hindu principles for achieving spiritual and physical well-being. Harmony between: humans; humans and nature; humans and the supreme God. Visitors to the forest can move around it freely. Within its territory there are three Hindu temples, about 186 species of trees grow, and 700 monkeys live. They are protected, live peacefully, walk wherever they please, and receive their food from the people who care for the forest. The place attracts tourists, but is also used as a natural laboratory for studying the social relations of monkeys – among themselves and with humans, and rare plant species are preserved in it.- SPA – Bali is the spa capital of Asia, if not the entire world! Here, every hotel, no matter how many stars it has, offers spa services. The massages vary greatly: Balinese, Indonesian, Thai massage, Swedish massage, Japanese shiatsu massage, Hawaiian lomi-lomi massage and many others. Relaxing or therapeutic, each of them is a magical treat for the senses.

- DANCES – Balinese dances are an ancient tradition that is part of the locals' religion. The legong dance is the most graceful and has many variations, but it is most often performed by a legong kraton by an 8-9-year-old girl. The sanghyang dance was created to drive away evil spirits. It is danced by two girls with closed eyes around a fire. Every evening along the beaches of Bali there are musical programs.
- WEDDING VOWS – Here weddings and the renewal of wedding vows are a daily occurrence and a tourist attraction, like those in Las Vegas, but more genuine, more beautiful, and more romantic. Your marriage certificate will be on a palm leaf, and your wedding ceremony will be unforgettable and unique.
- SURFING
>– Bali is a surfer's paradise. There are terrific waves of varying size and speed here. If you surf, you certainly won't miss the waves, and if you haven't gotten on a water board yet, the island has surf schools with experienced instructors who will help you with your first tries. - ELEPHANT SAFARIS. Elephant riding; a safe walk among the freely moving inhabitants of the park – zebras, rhinos, hippos, tigers; special animal show – there are several parks on the territory of Bali that can offer you all this.
- NIGHTLIFE – Do not go out before 00:00, because all night entertainment in Bali starts after this hour. There are the most venues in the southern part of Bali and especially in the Kuta area, where nightlife pulses with full force. Dance under the stars at an open-air beach disco or enjoy live music and an exotic cocktail in a jazz or rock club. Another thing to visit at night is the night market in Gianyar, where they will prepare something delicious for you on the spot.
- SEAFOOD SPECIALTIES. Treat yourself to something exotic. Bali's master chefs will whip up unforgettable dishes for you, and the interesting thing is that you can also get involved with ideas for their preparation.
- SUKAWATI MARKET (Sukawati). Sukawati is the most famous art market in Bali, and tourists flock to buy local sculptures, masks, paintings, and jewelry. Although the market caters mainly to tourists, prices are low, and the earlier in the day you go, the better deals you can strike.
- VOLCANO CLIMBING – Usually the climb starts at night, so that after a few hours you are at the top of the volcano at sunrise, when it is most impressive.
TIP:
For someone who wants to see as many places as possible in a short time, it is best to rent a taxi, with the driver often taking on the role of a guide. The daily rate varies from 500,000 rupiah (about 40 dollars) to650 000 or more, depending on how the bargaining went. And in Bali, you must bargain.

It is not recommended to rent just a car, because traffic is heavy, the streets are narrow and unsigned, so for someone unfamiliar with the characteristics of driving, even with a jeep, it would not be easy to navigate. Driving in Bali would bring you a lot of headaches and a lot of wasted time.Tourists often rent mopeds, but this also carries risks due to the uneven roads, often covered with fine gravel, which trick drivers and often cause traffic incidents.
